WILL IT!

Blessed! That's how I feel everyday.  Wait, did I say everyday? Hmmm most days I would say in all honesty though I can still say 'everyday' because no matter how tough the day goes, I still count my blessings before sleeping off at night. You should know by now I don't like hiding under the leaves so I will be sincere with you. Some days you may not feel your efforts or blessed at all. Yes, I get those days, everyone has a share of them, even the people you envy feeling their lives are 100% Rosy have those days too. Sometimes there are no signs to show that someone is going through the storm, you would never know if they don't communicate it. So, while wishing for the "goodies" another is enjoying, know they have struggles attached. Can you handle those struggles? It's hard to see God's plan in the middle of challenges especially when the challenge is overwhelming and blurs your vision of the light at the end of the tunnel. At this point you have t...

YOUNGSTARS MATTER

What is the first thought that crossed your mind when you saw this picture? The abuse of different kinds inflicted on our children, Adolescents and young persons by people they are supposed to go to for succour. Aside from physical and verbal abuse, emotional and child sexual abuse (rape) had become a daily occurrence in our society...  Our children have lost the confidence and sense of safety they once felt around an adult of the opposite sex. To think that Father's can no longer bath their daughters, Nieces can no longer visit uncles or be left in the same room with them for more than few minutes, daughters are no longer safe with fathers who are now defenders turned predators.  Babies  are now  unprepared mothers  dying in pains and silence. Silent because of the fear of discrimination because Mummy and Daddy said they should keep quiet, "nobody will marry a girl who is known to be a rape victim" they say. And while the girl child is still trying to clean the...

DRIVE SAFE

The questions most persons ask is "what is driving you?" In other words "what is your push?"  Anyways, I am not asking that today because I guess you have heard enough of that. WHERE IS YOUR DESTINATION? Now that is my question. As a young person, where are you going? That thing that is driving or pushing you, where is it taking you? The drive may seem right but the destination may be wrong. You can drive a brand new car and still end up in a forest if you don't know where you're going. Most people will tell you to "keep moving" but I'll tell you to pause and check the destination.  That habit you are involved in just because of today's worries and challenges, where will it land you? That decision you are making, have you considered that it could mar you for life? Yes, peer pressure is real but in a short while those peers would not be part of your life anymore. THAT THING THAT IS DRIVING OR PUSHING YOU, WHERE IS THE DESTINATION? Push yours...

WELCOME ON BOARD.

Hi, It's good to have you here... I can practically feel the butterflies in my stomach right now. First things first, take a seat let me introduce myself... I am Victoria Noah, a graduate of Public health and a practitioner. I am an health/growth activist and an adolescent advocate. My passion dwells with making the young generation better, conquering the challenges they're bound to face while transiting to adulthood and living fulfilled lives. My dream is to take this advocacy to the communities yet unreached and international platforms through interacting with adolescents and their caregivers on issues peculiar to them. My vision is a world of young people living worthwhile lives beyond societal limits. The above passion and vision birthed the " Youngstars hangout " a monthly hangout for adolescents and young people as one of the platforms for grooming and empowering them with skills for a better life;  " Safe house with Victoria Noah " a platform for r...
